Quincy has 27 miles of shoreline with many beaches throughout the city. Wollaston Beach is the largest in the city at 2.5 miles long. There are several marina's throughout the city for boating enthusiasts. And of course with all the water, fishing is quite popular in Quincy.

Quincy also has a fair amount of ball fields; baseball, football, soccer, as well as, tennis and basketball courts, and a couple of skateboard parks. In the winter, the Quincy Youth Hockey Rink is very active with leagues. The MDC has a rink in West Quincy for both hockey league action and public skating times.

Several road races are held each year for those interested in jogging for a good cause. And Parades. In June every year the Flag Day Parade is held, and the Sunday after Thanksgiving each year is the annual Christmas Parade, which is the second oldest Christmas Parade in the Nation.

If you like siteseeing, Quincy has many Historic Sites worth seeing. The Adams National Historic Site where President John Adams and his family lived. The Adams birthplace in South Quincy, The First Commercial Railroad in America, and many more.
